Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement state-wide outreach strategies for the program. Update and create printed and web-based marketing materials as needed.
2. Assist Provider Agency staff with program operations and implementation.
3. Communicate with CEDAC Program Assistant on any database needs or problems as they arise.
4. Review program data and develop reports as requested.
5. Oversee consumer satisfaction process and provide feedback to the program oversight staff and Provider Agency staff.
6. Coordinate with CEDAC Program Assistant to organize and facilitate regular meetings of HMLP oversight staff at MRC and CEDAC to give progress reports, identify issues, and formulate new policies or procedures.
7. Coordinate with CEDAC Program Assistant to organize and facilitate regular meetings of the HMLP Provider Agencies to give progress reports, clarify and train staff on policy or database changes, encourage collaboration, and discuss any other current issues (usually at least two meetings per year).
8. Visit each Provider Agency every six months or as needed.
9. Coordinate and perform review and update of the HMLP Guidelines and brochure, as needed.
10. Coordinate with CEDAC and assist with the annual review of Provider Agency loan files.
11. Train new Provider Agency Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in working with people with disabilities and elders are preferred.
2. Ability to travel within Massachusetts to meetings and site visits.
3. Strong working knowledge of Windows-based software applications including word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and Internet applications. Preference will be given to those with solid experience in Microsoft-based applications.
4. A person who: is well organized and can work independently; has good attention to detail; has strong communications, writing, and public presentation skills; and possesses a demonstrated ability to build collegial relations with a wide range of staff and organizations.
COMPENSATION
This is an independent contractor position with a flexible part time schedule of 10-15 hours per week. The contractor will be paid at an hourly rate within the range of $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Part time Outreach and Program Coordinator sought for 10-15 hrs/wk to support the Home Modifications Loan Program (HMLP), which provides loans to make access modifications to the primary, permanent residence of elders, adults with disabilities, and families with children with disabilities. The HMLP is a program of the MA Rehabilitation Commission (MRC), and the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC). MRC and CEDAC oversee the Program jointly as implemented by seven regional Provider Agencies.
This position is responsible for state-wide outreach and marketing of the program as well as assisting the Provider Agency staff, MRC, and CEDAC in program operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with people with disabilities and elders; have strong computer and database skills; possess strong communications and public presentation skills; and have a demonstrated ability to build collegial relations with a wide range of individuals. Travel within Massachusetts is required.
