Program Manager for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Department
Disability agency seeks dynamic manager to directly oversee staff and support staff. Responsible for development, implementation and administration of all independent living services for Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Late-Deafened individuals. Must have strong American Sign Language skills, knowledge of Deaf culture, own transportation, and attend organizational and statewide meetings. Accessible Recreation Assistant
PAS Department: Member Services Position
Responsibilities:
1) Intake
a) Verify potential consumers' appropriateness for PCA program, including, MassHealth (Medicaid) eligibility;
b) Communicate with consumer and/or referral source status of and process for PCA application; and
c) Refer to other Stavros services if appropriate.
2) Customer Service
a) Respond to inquiries from consumers and/or surrogates including status of applications, process for requesting additional time/jury duty/overtime, etc. professionally and efficiently;
b) Provide general information regarding the PAS program to outside providers if requested;
c) Process complaints from consumers, staff, or other providers;
d) Report any suspected abuse or neglect situations to the appropriate agency;
e) Respond to questions from staff, co-workers or other appropriate parties in an efficient, professional, pleasant manner; and
f) Communicate with the fiscal intermediary as needed in a professional, pleasant manner.
3) Enter all contacts and relevant information into the database timely and accurately.
4) Provide back-up support and assistance to other PAS department co-workers, including, but not limited to:
a) Processing incoming/outgoing mail, including evaluations, support documents, PCA Referral Forms; and
b) Assist with maintaining consumer records and filing.
Reports to: PCA Coordinator
Hours - 35 hours/week
Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English), strong attention to detail, excellent communications skills, strong computer skills. Minimum 1 years experience in a similar organization. Excellent benefits package.
