Stavros' Venture Into Well Being Program
Stavros and DCR's Universal Access Program have collaborated to offer accessible recreation opportunities to get you outside and enjoying nature: Venture Into Well-Being provides recreation activities designed for people with disabilities. Programs happen all year long in state parks across the state.
Winter Activities
Join Venture Into Well-Being and DCR for some fun in the snow. Come out to one of our upcoming winter events to snow shoe, ski, skate or simply stroll in the woods. If you use a wheelchair, try one of our comfortable sit down sleds, sit skiis or kicksleds. We provide all the equipment (including blankets!), fun and plenty of help for transfers and pulling you through the snow if needed. Warm up by a camp-fire and play winter games and sip on some warm cocoa. This is a great way to exercise while having fun, meeting new people and learning new skills. Bring your friends and family along. There is something for everyone.
