Voting Question?

We want our consumers to make informed decisions and exercise their rights to vote.  Here are some common questions:

Am I  registered to Vote or where may I vote?  Here is where to find out https://www.sec.state.ma.us/VoterRegistrationSearch/MyVoterRegStatus.aspx

What is the last day for registering to vote on the primaries?  August 27th is the last day to register to vote at the primaries, but you can register any time after to vote on other elections.

Early Voting- beat the lines-   August 27-September 6

If you are voting in person. Do you have transportation? If not, here is the information on PVTA https://www.pvta.com/schedules.php  or para-transit https://www.pvta.com/mobility.php

If you want to get a mail-in ballot for the State Primary, you must apply to do so by 5 pm on August 29. You now have the option to apply for a mail-in ballot online here (most MA residents qualify). If you need an accessible ballot, check appropriate boxes to request accommodations: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/MailInRequestWeb/MailInBallot.aspx

Information on accessible voting by mail was just recently added to the Secretary of State’s website, for voters who are unable to mark a paper ballot because of a disability. Accessible voting by mail allows you to receive, complete, and return your ballot electronically. For more information on accessible mail-in voting visit this link: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleev/early-voting-by-mail-accessible.htm

You should apply for an absentee ballot (rather than mail-in ballot) if you are residing overseas, on active military duty, currently incarcerated for a reason other than felony conviction, or if you need to request an emergency absentee ballot due to hospitalization. Otherwise, you can qualify to vote by mail.
