This Monday, the nation pays tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., whose words and actions helped build a more equitable and inclusive America and achieve passage of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandated civil rights for people with disabilities. The law did not protect the rights of parents with disabilities. Over the years we’ve seen many children torn from their parents because of the close disabilities.
With all the turmoil going on in the world including wars, epidemics, hunger, and political fighting (just to name a few) it’s hard to believe on December 3 we will be celebrating the annual observation of the International Day of Disabled Persons.
To consumers who are burdened by a $2000 limit on SSI. We need your action.
