Handicapped Parking Spots

Handicapped Parking

Did you ever notice when you’re trying to find an HP parking place and you see someone with a HP placard take a designated parking space jump out of their car and run into the store? I often wonder whose placard they are using. I can’t help but think the person is using their mother or grandmother’s placard. These people are taking advantage of parking places needed for people who are really disabled.

Just for your information, any person who wrongfully displays a handicapped plate on or a placard in a motor vehicle parked in a designated handicapped parking space or in a regular metered space or in a commercial parking space shall be subject to a fine of $500 for a first offense and $1,000 for a second or subsequent offense.

If you see these types of offenses, call the cops. Let’s see what happens.
